Every New Yorker deserves to feel safe on the streets—but with hate crimes against Asian American and Jewish New Yorkers at all time highs, that’s not happening right now.

Instead of letting perpetrators of hate crimes off the hook, we need to prosecute hate crimes and to always fully investigate hate crimes and hate groups. And because so many hate crimes go unreported, we need to work with communities to make sure that they feel comfortable coming forward and getting justice.

That’s why Manhattan needs a District Attorney who’s not afraid to always stand up to hate. It’s time to show up for our minority communities and demonstrate that hate has no place in New York City.
